However, trying to control things beyond your reach will only increase anxiety. Instead, focus on controlling your emotions and reactions to stress. 2. Practice Mindfulness: Being mentally tough requires mindfulness, paying attention to thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. Accept that pressure is part of the game and let worrying thoughts drift away without reacting to them. Taking deep breaths can help ease those bothersome thoughts.


3. Control Your Emotions: Emotions can be overwhelming, but you have the power to control them and choose how to respond. Avoid losing emotional balance, as it can work against you in team situations and may be exactly what your opponents want. Let your performances speak for you.


4. Stay in the Present Moment: Stress and anxiety often arise from worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. Focus on the present moment, as it's the only thing you can control. Don't let concerns about tomorrow affect your performance today. Enjoy the moment and trust that the future will take care of itself.


5. Be Grateful: Practicing gratitude helps maintain a positive outlook and keeps you calm. When feeling overwhelmed, take a moment to reflect on what you're grateful for. This shifts your focus from the negative to the positive, bringing a sense of peace.
